Digital music publisher Informance announces launch of the Practising the Piano Online Academy
London, UK | Following a successful crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo, London-based digital music publisher, Informance, is pleased to announce the launch of the Practising the Piano Online Academy. Building on acclaimed teacher and pianist Graham Fitch’s successful Practising the Piano blog and eBook series, it aims to be the ultimate online resource for mastering the piano.
The Online Academy is a subscription-based service which provides access to a comprehensive library of lessons, masterclasses, tutorials and resources from both Graham Fitch and other leading experts, including Penelope Roskell, Lucinda Macworth-Young and Mark Polishook. The materials are presented in an intuitive, interactive manner and “will transform the way you approach playing and teaching the piano”, according to Informance founder, Ryan Morison.
As a starting point, the site already features almost 50 articles and resources containing over 70 videos and almost four hours of footage. There are also copious musical examples and printable worksheets for download. Content will be added on a continual basis following the launch and will include materials covering new topics such as improvisation and “applied theory”.
The following subscription options are available:
- A free trial which gives access to all free content and up to five subscriber-only articles or resources
- Subscriptions which give full access to all content and updates for either £7.99 a month or £79.99 per year
- A Subscription plus eBook bundle which includes the entire Practising the Piano Multimedia eBook series (valued at £36) and the Complete Annotated Study Edition bundle for a once-off cost of £20 in addition to the £79.99 per year for the annual subscription option.
